The Photography of Christian Holzknecht
Christian Holzknecht, The Photographer, has, despite his certain photographic all-round nature, one thing in common with all other human beings – he has to prostitute himself to earn his living. Therefore, he works as a freelance photographer in order to provide the necessary financial basis for his own projects, which are of more extreme nature.
To copy well-known things is not in the interest of the photographer. He wants to create new things, but also record old things, seen in a new way and provided with his own geniuses. However, this causes a certain kind of limitation. The photographer attaches importance to work only with “genuine” people, but those have become extremely rare.
